What kind of world do we want to leave behind for the next generation? These are the questions that our students are plagued with. With plastic in the oceans, toxic waste, landfills, global warming, dying animal species, it’s important to ask yourself what your impact is. In 1983, Andy Warhol created a series of ten colour screenprints that portrayed endangered animals from around the world: Siberian tiger, San Francisco Silverspot, Orangutan, Grevy’s zebra, Black Rhinoceros, Bighorn Ram, African Elephant, Pine Barrens Tree frog, Giant panda and Bald Eagle. This was to create awareness and to save these creatures. Kara honours this series, by printing on four different colours, showing a skull to show what our lifestyles are doing to the natural world.
