In our exploration of West African sculpture we decided to create african lady doll sculptures. This project was based on a Nok terracotta figure dating between 6th century BC and 6th century AD. These sculptures included human heads, figures, and animals, they all share similar characteristics of pierced eyes and elaborate hairstyles. The sculptures are hollow and built from clay coils. They are often adorned with jewellery.
