Frequently Asked Questions
What do the kids need to bring to the Clay Workshop? Just an old t-shirt or an apron and a big dose of creativity! We have everything else ready: high-quality air dry clay, sculpting tools, slip, and paints. We provide snacks and juice, but kids are welcome to bring their own water bottles and extra snacks if they have specific preferences.
What is the structure of the Clay Workshop? The Morning Experience: We start the morning with an introduction to the medium, letting the kids get used to the feel of the clay. It’s a high-energy, creative environment where they can settle in and prepare for a morning of building. Once everyone is ready, we move to our dedicated sculpting stations.
Step-by-Step Sculpting: Whether your child is a budding artist or a first-time sculptor, our instructors provide clear, fun, and easy-to-follow guidance. We focus on basic shapes—spheres, coils, and slabs—to build the cat bodies, and then the real fun begins with adding ears, tails, and whiskers to give each cat a unique personality.
Connect and Create: Mid-way through the session, we take a snack break to let the “clay brains” rest. By the end of the Clay Workshop, each child will have their own cats ready to be taken home. It’s a wonderful, social way for kids to spend their Saturday morning!
