Nelson Mandela Printmaking Night

What do I need to bring to the printmaking night? 

Just a sense of humour and willingness to engage. We have everything set out for you, ink, rollers, linocut block, lino-cutting tools, aprons, and drinks so you can sit back, relax and enjoy.

What is the structure of the printmaking night?

It is a lovely intimate setting. We typically start with a welcome drink, after which guests will settle down with their printmaking station and lino-cutting tools. One of our Art Teachers then guides them step by step in creating a unique artwork. All participants will be given references to develop their print, and by the end of the night, each artist will take their creation home. Drinks can be enjoyed before, during, and after the session.

1. Linoblock and Linocutting tools
2. Tote Bag
3. Ink and paper towels.
4. A5 paper
5. Aprons and optional plastic gloves for those who wish to keep their hands clean

We love featuring our guests’ artwork on our social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram, as well as in our local newspaper, The Northcliff Melville Times. If you wish for your photo to not be used, please send us a message or email us when placing your order.  

You don’t have to be an artist to be creative.

It’s okay if you’ve never done printmaking before. There’s no experience necessary, and fun is our only requirement. We promise not to try and change you into Picasso overnight.
