The session will consist of lectures, discussions, demonstrations and enough time to paint.
“I am frustrated with oils. I tried it before but it takes forever to dry. How can I master it or work around it?”
Oil painting dominates the world of artistic painting when it comes to medium choice. Oils have stood the test of time and are still the preferred choice of painting medium for many artists.
Oil paints are slow to dry, which allows the artist to work areas in a painting for a long period of time. This can be viewed as an advantage, but also a disadvantage if the desire of the artist is to cover areas of colour with a new one. Lillian will teach you how to complete a portrait one sitting. (Alla Prima) and master working wet on wet.

Glad I got out of my comfort zone
“Thank you Lillian and fellow artists🌻.So glad that I walked out of my comfort zone (i think a lot of us did 👏👏👏) from familiar with using a analogous scheme to a bold complementary one,I could feel my mind was wobbly (but exciting) while putting those bold colors on canvas. Glad that I didn’t chicken out after lunch.🤣 Thank you again❤💗💛💚💙💜”
Broadened my hoizons
“Lillian and Team, you have broadened my horisons and challenged me in every way possible. Perfection is not the key and finding your own style is important. You have made me realise that I need to relax and just create and practice. I have learned that you can never mess up a painting – it is just not finished yet. Felt challenged every second and loved it as comfort is a dream killer.
Loved every moment! 👩🏻🎨🙌🏻👏🏻”
A new eye
“As a creative, you are constantly pouring out – emotionally, thoughtfully, and yes lovingly. You need to refill your cup. Get fresh ideas, new ways of seeing things, be with other creatives, create to have fun and not worry about the outcome. This workshop was all that. Lillian is incredibly generous with her knowledge and completely unpretentious. I learnt to apply my knowledge with a new eye, and mainly to let go and have more fun”
