Oil Pastel Illustration

History Lesson: Charlotte Gastaut is a French illustration artist. She has contributed to numerous women’s magazines and has written and illustrated many books for children. She creates beautiful dreamscapes with stylized characters and designs.

You will need:

• A2 White paper
• Pencil
• Oil Pastels
• Acrylic Paint

Process: 

1. Look at Gastaut’s work. She created beautiful dream works with stylized objects and characters.
2. Select wish dream you want to illustrate?
3. Draw your dream using Charlotte’s style with a pencil on your big white paper.
4. Now select your colours and colour with your oil pastels

Dreams:

• Flying to the moon
• Sleeping with a dragon
• Flying on the back of a bird
• Sleeping inside a giant shell
• Hunting a Phoenix
