DURATION: 24th Sep – 29th Sep 2019 17:00

VENUE: Cresta Shopping Centre (downstairs at the Barnyard Theatre entrance)

THEME: The Art of Movement

Think art on the move: whether it be through time, phases or styles. One thing is for certain: the joy that art brings never gets old or goes out of style. This is what the students at Lillian Gray Art School have discovered while taking the journey through art about movement. All the way back into history and into the modern and contemporary, I’m sure you’ll be impressed by all the artworks on display. Variety is the spice of life, so come and experience the exploration through mediums of painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking. Our students of all ages, adults and kids alike, have created some very special masterpieces for this event.

Through the art theme of movement, our students have explored what it means to always be moving forward and exploring all the concepts this encompasses.

Inspiration from great artists, like Vincent van Gogh’s brushstrokes, Jackson Pollack’s splashes and David Hockney’s swimming pools as well as investigating exciting periods throughout art history, our students endeavour to stimulate your eyes, hearts and minds. This event allows them to have the opportunity to showcase their talent and hard work, and perhaps will give you the opportunity to purchase something that will bring you joy for many years to come.

This is a great introduction to the business of art for our students. It will also expose them to planning and be managing an exhibition, as well as how to generate art sales. Our founder Lillian Gray truly believes that Art is Business and Business is Art. She is not only passionate about teaching art skills but business acumen too. Lillian recently painted her way into London and New York during 2019. In 2020 she will be exhibiting in Chicago
